Eligibility |
|

CapitalConnect is an information sharing platform for institutions in the social
enterprise space, and not a stock exchange. Hence, registration on the site is not
open to retail investors. To register on the site, you have to be: |
|
|
- A Social Enterprise – an organization with a social objective, and an entrepreneurial
/ business approach
|
|
Can be a microfinance institution; a grass roots organization active in the areas
of education, healthcare, alternative energy, rural infrastructure, or any other
activity with a direct social impact; or a service provider to these organizations
|
- An Institutional Lender – a bank, financial institution, donor or multi-lateral
agency
|
- An Institutional Investor - firm, trust or fund
|
- Promoter Investor – joint stock company
|
|
|
|
Individual investors who have already promoted a social enterprise, and hold atleast
10% equity are also eligible to register on CapitalConnect. Individual promoter
investors are only allowed to offer to sell equity. |
