CapitalConnect is an online marketplace that allows investors, lenders, and social
enterprises to share information with one another, send debt and equity offers,
and to explore strategic partnerships. We categorise our members into three distinct
groups: |
|
|
- Social Enterprises
- Institutional Investors & Lenders
- Promoter Investors
|
|
|
|
Register as a “Social Enterprise” if you represent:
|
|
|
- A for-profit or non-profit organisation with a social objective and an entrepreneurial
approach
- An organisation that is active in the areas
of education, healthcare, alternative energy, microfinance, rural infrastructure, or any other
activity with a direct social impact
- An organisation that provides services to any of the aforementioned organizations
|
|
|
|
Note: By registering as a “Social Enterprise”, you represent your organisation’s
funding interests in all interactions on the Platform; you may not sell your individual
investments. |
|
|
|
Register as an “Institutional Lender & Investor” if you represent: |
|
|
- A bank, fund, trust, foundation, private equity player, or any other institutional
funder that has:
|
- lent to or invested in social enterprises, or
- an interest in taking fresh exposures in the development sector, or trading in its
existing portfolio
|
|
|
|
Note: While registering as an “Institutional Lender & Investor” indicates that
you are primarily interested in lending and / or investing, you may also use the
Platform to raise funds for your own organisation. |

|
Register as a “Promoter Investor” if you are: |
|
|
- an individual investor, or a representative of an organisation, that holds substantial stake in a social enterprise
|
|
|
|
Note: While Promoter Investors primarily use CapitalConnect to sell equity, joint
stock companies can invest or lend as well. Individual Promoter Investors, however,
may only sell equity on CapitalConnect. Only those individual investors who hold
a minimum of 10% equity in a social enterprise are permitted to register with CapitalConnect. |
CapitalConnect is an information sharing platform for institutions and established
investors in the social enterprise space, and is not a stock exchange. Hence, registration
is not available to retail investors at this time. |
